Chris Coleman is certain that Bale will become the new all-time top goal-scorer

The Welsh national football team recently claimed a 4-0 triumph over Moldova in what was their first FIFA 2018 World Cup qualification match.

This encounter was played on September 5 and Gareth Bale scored twice while Joe Allen and Samuel Vokes also found the back of the net which helped Wales kick-off their qualification campaign on a positive note.

This victory puts Wales at the top of group D with 3 points while Austria is following them closely behind also with 3 points but Wales has the top spot due to goal difference.

Chris Coleman is the head coach of the Welsh national football team and he is very happy to see his squad having kicked off in such a positive way and the 46 year old appears to be confident in Gareth Bale’s goal-scoring abilities as Coleman backed up Bale to become the new all-time top goal-scorer of the Welsh national football team.

Ian Rush is the current top goal-scorer of the national side after having scored a total of 28 goals. Gareth Bale’s tally of goals has reached 24 and he is edging closer to Ian Rush and Chris Coleman is certain that it’s only a matter of time until Bale surpasses Ian Rush’s 28 goals.

“He will break it. If you look at his record in the last two years, you’d have to say he has every chance of doing it in this campaign,”

“Knowing Bale, he may not even know about that. He just comes along and fits in with the furniture, gets on with his job. He may know he’s four goals away. He won’t think, ‘I’ve got to beat him (Rush) this campaign.’ He’ll just go and do what he does, but in my opinion there’s every chance he can do that in the next nine games.” Chris Coleman said as he voiced his support towards Gareth Bale.
