BALE IS BACK

Real Madrid recently welcomed Gareth Bale back to the starting line-up and he was in goalscoring form straightaway.

Gareth Bale

The Welsh winger had a great end to 2015, when he scored four goals in the 10-2 thrashing of Rayo Vallecano. He went on to score more goals until the middle of January when he suffered an injury, and has been unavailable since playing 45 minutes of the game against Sporting Gijon.

As Real Madrid continue to struggle for consistency even after turning to Zinedine Zidane, the return of Bale could not have come at a much better time for the club. The Spanish giants have fallen 12 points behind leaders Barcelona and they have already conceded defeat in the title race.

The key aspect now will be to finish above archrivals Atletico Madrid, who are four points ahead. Bale stated that the last few weeks have been very tough since he has not been able to get minutes on the pitch due to injury.

He returned to the starting line-up in scoring fashion after netting one of the goals in the 7-1 win over Celta de Vigo. Cristiano Ronaldo continued to outshine him and the Portuguese forward returned with four goals in the game. Bale has taken his tally to 15 goals in 20 appearances this season.

His return will be music to the ears of Wales fans, who have been snapping up tickets to their matches in the European Championships in France on the www.livefootballtickets.com website, in the hope that Bale can help the team beat England and advance to the latter stages of the tournament.

“I’m very happy after a few difficult weeks. It was frustrating to be out for six weeks. It is great to come back, play and score, but the most important thing is the three points. I’ve spent four days training with my team mates."

"Now I have to train well and keep improving. It is great to have this support. We want to go forward together and with our fans we can achieve great things this season. At the break we spoke about playing faster in the second half and trying to score quickly,” said Bale.
