LLANELLI SUFFER TNS DEFEAT

Hopes were high when Llanelli took to the pitch at The New Saints' home ground, with the reds just three points behind leaders TNS in the league - a win would take them to joint top with just a few games to go.

Sadly it wasn't to be, with TNS proving too much of a handful at home, and causing the Llanelli defenders and goalkeeper too many problems.

TNS, formerly Total network solutions but now re-named The New Saints after the sponsorship of the team broke down, have been on a great run so far this season, and antered the match having been unbeaten in 11 matches. Llanelli weren't far behind, so the fans were right to expect a great game.

Whilst it was a hard-fought battle throughout, the game was effectively over by half-time, with TNS having scored four times to none. Darlington and Draper both netted two goals a piece, and they were three goals up after just 19 minutes.

Llanelli had a chance to restore some pride in the second half, with Rhys Griffiths scoring twice to save some face, but it was TNS who took home all the plaudits, and all 3 points.
